FAQS
If you're getting dropped off, please use intersection of E Huntingdon St and Abercorn as your point of reference. You will be able to access the start line via a short walk.
We suggest you arrive at least 1-2 hours before the start of your race to give yourself time to park and get situated.
Newly Added: Runners that wish to have special needs items and/or clothes waiting for them at the finish line, may drop these items off at the Race Expo on Friday, 11/14 at the Savannah Convention Center at the Gear Check location only.
After picking up your BIB, look for the area marked GEAR CHECK and follow the bag drop instructions.
Your bag will be taken to the finish line for retrieval after the race at the GEAR CHECK tent.
You will enter the tent and find your bag in the numbered space that corresponds with your BIB #.
NOTE: There is no bag drop at the race start. If you are checking a bag, you must drop it at the race expo on Friday.
Fanny packs, small bags, and hydration packs are allowed on course. For security, they are subject to being searched and/or removed.
All participants are expected to be able to complete the 5K with a 20-minute mile and the Half Marathon course in 4 hours and 15 minutes, i.e. 18-minute mile.
The time count begins after the start of the last wave of runners. Runners who are unable to maintain an 118-minute pace, although encouraged to complete the race, will be asked to remain out of previously-closed traffic lanes and will be asked to move to the side and obey regular traffic laws.
The Highway will be reopened to traffic on a “rolling basis” determined by that pace. The Finish Line will stay open for runners and spectators until 12:00 PM. Aid stations, official finishing times, commemorative medallions, and post-race refreshments will only be available to runners who maintain a 4 hours and 15 minute pace or below.
